Sarah Roark
Sarah is a dedicated Montessori educator who brings a calm, purposeful presence to the classroom. With a deep respect for the child’s natural desire to learn, she is committed to cultivating curiosity, independence, and joy in each student’s journey.
Sarah holds Montessori certification and is trained in Gold Standard Project-Based Learning through the Buck Institute. She is passionate about integrating meaningful, student-driven projects into the curriculum, allowing children to connect academic content with real-world experiences and personal interests.
Before entering the field of education, Sarah served in the U.S. Air Force, an experience that shaped her strong sense of integrity, adaptability, and service to the community.
Sarah is always seeking new ways to grow as an educator and person. She believes that teaching is a lifelong journey and that modeling curiosity, reflection, and resilience is one of the most powerful ways to support young learners.
Outside of the classroom, you can find Sarah spending time in nature, with her family, or taking care of her beloved rescue animals.

Helen Sanderson
Creative Arts and Dance Instructor, Administrator, Assistant to the Lead Teacher, and School Co-Founder
Helen is a lifelong dancer and creative who brings a deep passion for movement and arts to the classroom. Helen holds an Art Therapy Practitioner Certificate and completed certification in the Gold Standard Project-Based Learning through the Buck Institute. She trained in classical ballet at Ballet Arizona, has performed with several modern companies, and has been teaching movement and creative arts to children for more than 15 years.
Helen believes strongly in fostering emotional intelligence and stamina through creative expression. She loves watching the unique creations children bring to life in every art form, and loves creating alongside her students.
Outside of the classroom, Helen enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family. Helen is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
